One of the nicest things that happened two years ago is I met Gary Barlow. I was very nervous meeting him. He was the new judge - Simon has gone - and you know I’m a huge fan of Gary Barlow. I mean, who isn’t, right? And um, the most unassuming man I’ve ever met in my life. I mean literally, when I shook his hand in the judges room, he gazed my eyes straight away, and I just went “Gary, I’m gonna use you.” “Do whatever you want.” I was like, “Whatever I wanted?” “Do whatever you want.” And I did whatever I wanted, and we’ve struck up a great friendship… You know I’ve had some special times with Gary, and some personal times with him, and I treasure them, because he’s a really top bloke. And a hugely talented artist.
